Mammals

Mammals

Mammals are animals that have a vertebre and are warm-blooded, meaning that they produce body heat internally. But not all mammals are warm-blooded. Seals use the sun or other environmental heat sources to keep them warm. Various species can swim, run, fly, and climb. All mammals grow hair at one point of their growth. Even though the hairs can be very little, like most whales. A lot of mammals have hair their entire lives! Mammals are characterized mostly by their teeth. They are replaced once during a mammal's life. Females are typically more colorful than the males. They can also be shaped differently.

Mammals eat an enormous variety of living things. Mammals can be carnivores, meat eaters, herbivores, plant eaters, or omnivores, both plat and meat eaters. They can eat vertebres, invertebres, plants, and fungi.

Like mammals vary immensly in size, they also vary greatly in lifespan. Normally, shorter animals would live a shorter live than larger animals, who would live a longer life. Bats may not be counted in this pattern because they are really tiny mammals, but they can live a life as long as one or more decades. A mammal's lifespan ranges from one year or less to 70 or more years in the wild.
